imodium
Imodium is prescribed for the
control and relief of symptoms of diarrhea not known to
be caused by a specific germ, and for diarrhea associated
with long-term inflammatory bowel disease. This drug is
also prescribed for reducing the volume of discharge from
an ileostomy (a surgical opening of the small intestine
onto the abdominal wall for purposes of elimination). Some doctors also prescribe Imodium, along with antibiotics such as Septra or Bactrim, to treat traveler's diarrhea. |
